Group Legal Manager - International Luxury Group JOB CODE : GRP-LM

Objective & Summary :

The Group Legal Manager plays a vital role in the business by providing proactive, pragmatic, in-depth, legal, business focussed advice, implementing initiatives and processes in order to set standards and reinforce a culture of integrity, quality, ethical behavior, and responsibility across the business.

The Manager Legal is tasked with analyzing and identifying the legal risks and implications of all of the business transactions, keeping the senior management and respective stakeholders of the business informed of developments in laws and regulations that potentially affect the business.

  • Desired Profile:

Pre-requisites for the Role :

Ø  Must be an experienced professional with 12+ years in legal profession from which at least 3 years should be managing a Licensing / Distribution / Retail business in a similar capacity.

Ø  Should have Leadership traits to drive this function independently.

Ø  Should be ready to travel as and when required for any assignments within Europe / Far East as the role demands. 

Ø  Should be very well versed with the Swiss law in particular and the French law as well.

Ø  Must possess profound knowledge in managing litigation i.e. court practice and hearings, as well as proven experience in structuring relations with public authorities.

Ø  Should be well versed with managing contracts and agreements, Licensing agreements, Supplier agreements, Distribution & Retail lease and related matters.

Ø  Should ideally have good orientation in corporate, finance, administrative and other areas of law involved with Licensing / Distribution / Retail focused businesses;

Ø  Should possess strong negotiation; organizational and management skills;

Ø  Should have a can-do attitude, with excellent corporate communication skills and ability to influence at the top management level.

Ø  Must be fluent in English and German, whilst also knowing French would be an advantage.

Ø  The candidates available in UAE for a personal meeting would be preferred.
