Regional Sales Manager - Perfumes - Swiss Watch Group JOB CODE : RSM - PRF

Position Summary & Objective :

The Regional Sales Manager will have ownership of the operational practices of all Sales Offices within GCC for the perfumes business and will ensure that the marketing and sales campaigns meet the budget and sales objectives.

This role would be responsible for overseeing the operations of perfume brands; managing the entire chain of ordering, distribution and retail. The Regional Sales Manager looks into the brand performance, represents the brand owner and links the group management to the brand owner and the sales teams.

This role would entail setting targets, identifying objectives, strategies and action plan, ensuring the right standards are implemented across the sale points keeping in line with the brand and group expectations, whilst improving the long term sales and earnings, thereby steering the business to the next level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

a) Identify and recommend account openings and closings based on the brand positioning strategy.
b) Promote sales at the retail level in the GCC region.
c) Ensure appropriate brand positioning, as compared to the competitors within the region.
d) Ensure consistent achievement of sales targets as per the business plan submitted.
e) Visit on a very regular basis, the retail customers and monitor their preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
f) Maintain and expand customer base; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities and opening
new doors.
g) Advise customers and dealers on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
h) Ensure each door within the territory meets the brand’s guidelines, sales associate training and merchandising standards.
i) Effective debtor management (collecting receivables from customer and dealers within the pre-defined credit norms).
j) Ensure that the product mix, replenishment cycle and manner in which the products are sold are in accordance with the sales and marketing
philosophy of the Brand.
k) Working closely with Marketing/Product Managers to provide accurate market feedback to promote programs that drive profitable revenue
growth.
l) Report sales results, market trends, and competitor updates on a weekly basis.
m) Develop annual sales budgets and expenses along with identifying all resources (human capital and technical support) required to achieve the
annual sales plan.

  • Desired Profile:

    Pre-requisites for the Role :

a) Should be a graduate at least, coupled with an MBA - Marketing / Retail. 

b) Should have a total of 15+ years of proven experience, with at least 7-8 years into the perfumes business. 

c) Should be detailed, good in analytics and commercially astute. 

d) Should have good MS Office skills, especially being well versed on MS Excel, worked on any specific ERP like Oracle, SAP, Navision would be an advantage. 

e) Should have Excellent Communication Skills and must possess the ability to read and write good English. (Native Arabs would also be preferred). 

f) Should have flair for sales and needs to possess the ability to network and socialize. 

g) Should be a go-getter, proactive and enthusiastic with high levels of synergy. 

h) Should be available in UAE and needs to know the GCC market well, UAE in particular. 

i) Should be flexible to work and must possess the innate ability to work under pressure. 

j) Should be ready to travel anywhere within the GCC based on business requirement.
